Yvaga Guazu

4th grade field trip

sunny 95 °F

October 18, 2014

I took my class on our first field trip to Yvaga Guazu, a botanical garden. It was super hot with lots of bugs. I have been here before, but was well worth another visit. This is always what I imaged that Bolivia would look like. There are so many different kinds of plants and flowers. They even had some animals, including a rat looking animal called a capiguara. If it pees in your eyes it will blind you. I really am trying to figure out how it would be able to do that!

My kids behaved really well and had a good time. It’s always nice to get out of the school and see new things with kids.

I used someone’s bug spray and that night ended up with a rash all over my arms. Not sure if it was that, or heat rash, or bugs. But it went on for several days. I finally started on an antibiotic because I was also having a really bad cold that went to my chest. I am finally feeling better.
