School Lunch

Yummy!

I decided to eat lunch with the kids today. They have a huge kitchen, and two dining halls. The younger kids eat upstairs from their classrooms, and the food is carted there from the kitchen. it's actually the same food we get in our teacher's lunchroom.

They line up in classes, and walk down one of there islands where they are served lunch. The students must finish all that is on their plate. None of this wasting food like in the US! There was chicken or beef, vegetables with tofu, rice, and plain green vegetables of some sort. Soup, a bean drink, and watermelon.

There is music playing, and the kids are quiet, and can only talk quietly. And they do a great job!

Because the kids take their own trays there is spillage on the floors, and it's slicker than you know what! LOL I almost lost it once, but caught myself. Then they sit on these 3 legged chairs, in which I again almost fell.

At the end you take your tray and dump the leftovers in a huge garbage can, and stack the trays and bowls.
